A Sponge is a Decorative Block introduced in Update 0.8.0 that is only available in Creative Mode.
Uses
In Update 0.16.0, Sponges will have the ability to soak up Water. Doing so will turn the sponge into "Wet Sponge".
Smelting the wet sponge in a furnace will make the sponge dry again.
Obtaining
The Player must go to an Ocean Monument and find Wet Sponge. Next, the Player must smelt the Wet Sponge in a Furnace and will receive a Sponge. Another way is when the Player kills an Elder Guardian.
Trivia
- The Sponge texture will possibly change in Update 0.16.0.
