Obtaining

Sea Lanterns generate naturally in Ocean Monuments. They can also be Crafted in a Crafting Table.

Sea Lanterns can be mined using any Tool, but will only drop themselves when mined with a tool Enchanted with Silk Touch. If mined without an enchanted tool, Sea Lanterns drop 2-3 Prismarine Crystals. This can be increased using the Fortune enchantment.
