Passive Mobs are the animals of Minecraft that do not endanger the player as Hostile Mobs do. They all spawn naturally during the daytime. As of 0.9.0, passive mobs tend to spawn in groups.

Trivia
- They are occasionally referred to as "Farm Animals" or "Peaceful Mobs'
- You can only spawn Passive mobs through spawn eggs in creative mode or by breeding them.
- Tamed wolves are technically passive, but still attack mobs the player attacks.
