Update 0.12.1

Mob Heads are equipable Blocks that were added in Update 0.12.1. They can be worn; however, they do not give any amount of defence to the Player.

Types[]

Obtaining[]

There are multiple ways to obtain Mob Heads.

  • Zombie, Creeper heads, and Skeleton skulls are dropped whenever one of the aformenioned mobs are killed by a Charged Creeper.
  • Wither Skeleton skulls have a low chance to drop when one is killed.
  • The Ender Dragon head is found at the end of End Ships.
  • There is currently no way to obtain the Player head in survival mode outside of inventory editors.

Usage[]

Mob Heads can be used as a Decoration, and can be placed in 16 different orientations on top of Blocks and 4 different directions on the sides of Blocks.

Trivia[]

  • Ender Dragon Heads are the only Mob Heads that have an animation.
    • When equipped on the Player, the mouth of the Ender Dragon opens and closes as they walk or fly.
    • The animation also occurs when the Ender Dragon head is powered by a Redstone source.
  • Bedrock Exclusive: Before Update 1.2 the Inventory icons was not in 3D.
  • Before Update 0.14.0, Mob heads could not be equipped.
  • The Player head is currently only available in Creative Mode.
    • However, it is possible to get the Head in Survival Mode through mods or inventory editors, or by placing the Head in Containers in Creative Mode and switching into Survival Mode.
  • As of Update 0.16.0, Wither Skeleton skulls can be used to make the Wither.
  • Bug: When a Stray is blown up by a Charged Creeper, it will drop a Wither Skeleton Skull.
  • When a Zombie Pigman or a Zombie Villager is blown up by a Charged Creeper, it will drop a Zombie head.
  • The Ender Dragon head was added in Update 1.0.
