Melon is a type of food in Minecraft Pocket Edition that was added in Update 0.5.0. If destroyed, the Player can obtain Melon Slices.
Obtaining
Before Update 0.9.0, Melons could only be obtained by farming the Melon Seeds dropped by the Nether Reactor, but since then, Melon Blocks can be found growing in Jungle Biomes.
Farming
Melon Farming is similar to Pumpkin farming, as the crop itself does not yield the Melon, but the block is formed next to the crop when it is ready. It is thus possible to farm multiple Melons from one farm.
