First Appearance |
Invisible Bedrock is an invisible, indestructible Block surrounding all Old Worlds. It will be added under the name “Barrier” available by the /give or /setblock commands in Update 1.6.
Obtaining
Invisble Bedrock is only obtainable by Inventory Editing, and in Update 1.6 they can be obtained by the Invisible Bedrock/give or Invisible Bedrock/setblock commands.
Usage
When placed, it can be seen through; however, it cannot be walked through or destroyed, even in Creative Mode. Projectiles can still pass through Invisible Bedrock however.
When tapped, the Block will give out stone particles. This is because it is an invisible stone block.
Trivia
- If the Player goes high enough in an Old World, the Player would be able to walk on a layer of Invisible Bedrock in a dimension dubbed The Cloudland. However, building on top of this is not possible, because of the world height limit (normally 256 blocks, but only 128 blocks in old worlds).
- If the Player spawns Mobs from Spawn Eggs in the Invisible Bedrock, they will suffocate.
- If the Player spawns mobs on a tower of blocks built to the world height limit, and pushes them onto the Barrier, they will disappear.
- As of Update 0.9.0, Ladders and Fences will no longer connect to Invisible Bedrock.
