An End Crystal is both an Entity and an Item that was added in Update 1.0.

End Crystals spawn naturally atop the many Obsidian Pillars in The End. It can also be Crafted.

They are used to help the Ender Dragon regenerate, and can summon it as well.

They can be destroyed by Arrows and Snowballs.
End Crystals can be pushed by Pistons, but will explode if moved while in Fire.
- They will also explode if attacked by the Player, even if the attack deals no damage.
The explosion caused by End Crystals is 50% more powerful than TNT, the same as a Charged Creeper.
Bedrock Exclusive: End Crystals emit a Light Level of 1.
End Crystals can only be placed on Bedrock and Obsidian. However, they do not break once the Bedrock or Obsidian is broken. Instead, it will stay in mid-air.
An End Crystal makes a "pyramid" under the Block it was placed on when it explodes.
