Update 0.13.0 |
Detector Rails are Blocks that were added in Update 0.13.0.
Obtaining
Detector Rails can be obtained by Crafting them in a Crafting Table.
Crafting
- 6 Iron Ingots + 1 Redstone + 1 Stone Pressure Plate => 6 Detector Rails
Usage
Detector Rails emit a Redstone signal when a Minecart passes over them. This makes them useful for activating anything that is redstone-powered. They are often used in traps.
Trivia
- Detector Rails are used in a number of traps.
- Detector Rails are often confused with Activator Rails.
- If a Minecart with a Chest or a Hopper is on it, the Detector Rail will send a signal strength that shows how full that Container is.
