Coal Ore is an ore block that can be mined to give the player coal, which can be used to fuel a furnace and to

make torches. Coal Ore is a very common ore found in every layer. Like Lapis Lazuli ore and Diamond ore, the block yields it's resource immediately after being mined, requiring no crafting or smelting. It drops 1 coal. Coal can be found in fairly large quantities, up to 16 or more in one vain.
Trivia
- You can smelt wood to get charcoal, which is an alternative.
