Andesite is a Block added to Minecraft in Update 0.9.0.
Obtaining
Andesite spawns similar to Gravel, so it may appear in large veins underground. It may sometimes also be found on the surface or on the side of mountains. It can also be Crafted.
Crafting
- 1 Cobblestone + 1 Diorite => 1 Andesite
- 3 Andesite => 6 Stone Slabs
- 4 Andesite => 4 Polished Andesite
Usage
Andesite can be used to Craft Stone Slabs or Polished Andesite, the latter being a more clear variant of Andesite.
